Akrama-Sakrama scheme to boom in DK for next 2 years, over 25,000 to get the benefit

Mangalore, May 31:  DK District in charge Minister, Ramanata Rai inaugurated the Akrama-Sakrama scheme of regularizing the lands in the district on May 31, Saturday. This is definitely a good news for those residing in houses constructed illegally on government lands in rural areas and do not possess title deeds.

Addressing press persons after the launching of the scheme at the Taluk Office, the minister said the process of Akrama-Sakrama will be carried out for two years and over 25000 lands are likely to be regularized.

The minister also regretted that people have been increasingly constructing houses on government lands, despite the implementation of several housing schemes.

It is learnt that the land in rural areas excluding CMC, TMC and town panchayat limits will be regularized.

A.B. Ibrahim Deputy Commissioner, Sadashiva Prabhu, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Guruprasad, Tahsildar of Mangalore and others were present.
