Mangalore, Mar 24: The police arrested a woman on March 23, Sunday, in connection to the death of Sowmya, a resident of Gujjarkere in her house.
Reportedly, Soumya (25), wife of Kiran was burnt to death in her room of her residence in Gujjarkere on March 22, Saturday and suspected it to be a case of suicide.
After investigating the case, police took Shraddha a resident of Bolar into custody, who was present at the spot of crime on Saturday.
According to police, Shraddha who had married Mumbai based Shashikant five years ago, had divorced him. Shraddha was close to Kiran and alleged her hand in Soumya’s death.
Shraddha will be produced before the magistrate at night. Investigation is on.
