Mangalore, Mar 21: A gang of four unidentified miscreants attacked and murdered an auto rickshaw driver at Polali, Kalpane on March 21, Friday.
The deceased driver has been identified as Rajesh (30), a resident of Kalladka.
It is learnt that the gang came to attack Rajesh in two bikes and attacked him with weapons and fled from the scene.
Although, Rajesh was rushed to hospital, he breathed his last on the way.
According to the sources, Rajesh was an accused in another murder case and this murder was an act of revenge.
Rajesh was survived by his wife and two children.
After the incident, locals began to close down shops and businesses establishment in fear.
Investigations are on.
