Mangalore,Mar 5: The long awaited election for Mayor and Deputy Mayor post of Mangalore City Corporation will be held be at the Mangala Auditorium of MCC on March 13 at 10.30 am.
Regional Commissioner of Mysore Division will take charge as the polling officer during the election.
The post of mayor has been reserved for a general category candidate, while the post of deputy mayor to a lady candidate from a general category, as per the High Court decision.
Apart from it, even the presidents and members of Standing Committees will be elected on the occasion.
