Ramesh, aged 23, son of Laxman, a resident of Pethri in Brahmavar was the unfortunate deceased.
According to the sources when a truck with Maharashtra registration was heading towards Kumta from Kundapur, a car with Kerala registration was plying towards Udupi, this accident took place and the truck went out of control and rammed into Ramesh’s two-wheeler, which was going in front of the truck, killing Ramesh on the spot and then truck hit the car forcefully, which was coming from the opposite direction.
Abhishek and Gautam, who were inside the car, were escaped with minor injuries and bruises.
The deceased Ramesh, a scrap dealer, was on his way to his sister’s house at Hemmady when the accident took place. The truck driver has been identified as Shaaj. He was transporting sand to Kumta.
A case was registered in Kundapur traffic police station.
