Bantwal, Feb 18: A truck carrying gas cylinders hit an electric pole and fell off the road, when the driver lost control over it on NH 75 near Panemangalore creating some amount of panic among the locals of gas leakage on February 17, Monday.
The truck was plying from Mangalore. The identity of the truck driver was is yet to be known.
As the truck hit the electric pole, gas cylinders rolled out on to the road, later they were loaded into another truck and moved from the spot.
The fire fighting personnel’s and the police arrived at the spot and confirmed about no gas leakage giving a sigh of relief to the locals.
Bantwal police have registered a case.
