Mangalore, Feb 11: A doctor from Yenepoya Hospital of Deralakatte is accused of sexually harassing girl patient during the check-up on February 10, Monday.
As per the complaint filed at Ullal police station, the girl stated that Dr Mohammad Niyaz, a resident of Kannur in Kerala, studying second year MD at Yenepoya hospital has misbehaved with the girl while she came for the medical check up at the hospital.
The victim said that she was admitted to the hospital for fever and cough and on February 9, Sunday who visited to examine her had sexually assaulted her.
As soon the news spread, few women’s organization members entered the hospital and thrashed the doctor.
The girl was sent for medical examination.
After getting thrashed by women’s organistaion, got admitted in the same hospital.
A case has been registered at the Ullal police station.
Whereas, Dr Prakash Harishchandra on behalf of the hospital rubbished the allegations against Dr Niyaz.
