Mangalore, Jan 18: A youth was found dead in mysterious circumstances, at the Sultan Battery on January 17, Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Shailesh Shetty (27) resident of Kavoor.
Reportedly, the body of Shailesh was found just two days after he returned from a Shabarimala pilgrimage. It is suspected that he might have committed suicide.
The family of Shailesh had lodged a missing complaint on January 16, after search for him went futile. But when the police launched a search, they found footwear and bike belonging to Shailesh near Tannirbavi beach and body at Sultan Battery.
He had also left a suicide note mentioning the financial problem he was facing, which led to his suicide.
The investigation is on.
