Puttur, Jan 15 : Two youngsters who were peddling ganja were trapped by the locals red-handed on January 14, Tuesday in the town. As many as 20 packets of ganja were seized from them. The two were later handed over to the police.
The accused are identified as Taranath from Mareel and Nikhil from Mukrampady. It is learnt that the residents of the area had a suspicion regarding the illegal drug activities taking place in thier area. So, a local youth decided to set a trap in order to catch the dealers red handed.
As part of the plan the localist asked the duo to come to a spot pretending to purchase ganja from them. when the two youth arrived, they were trapped.
Of the two, Taranath was caught in drugs peddling cases in the past too. Puttur Town Police have registered a case
