DK Auto rickshaw drivers’ union demand apology from Jain for alleged assualt

Mangalore, Jan 1, 2013: The members of DK district auto rickshaw drivers’ and owners’ union jointly with Mulky auto drivers’ and owners’ union and other associations organized a protest in front of the DC office on Jan 1, Wednesday demanding public apology by Minister Abhaychabndra Jain for the assault in Mulky.

Addressing the protestors, addressing the protestors, Vishnumurthy, president of DK district auto drivers’ and owners’ union said that the minister who has been assigned in the high position must have shown patience rather than assaulting them.

Vishnumurthy also urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to remove minister from the cabinet as soon as possible or will have to announce of not requiring auto drivers and owners votes.

He also said that the auto drivers and owners are facing acute problem of LPG price hike, in such situation they must try to revise the price to solve their problem than assaulting the drivers.

He also said that Minister Abhaychandra Jain must ask apology or else they would continue their protest.

Assault victim Prashanth, Ashok Kumar, Mohammed Rifwan, Arun, Alias, Sunil Kumar Bajal, L T Suvarna, Mohammed Ansar and others participated in the present.
