Udupi: Tourist youths from Bangalore meet watery grave in Malpe

Udupi; Dec 16: An incident of dreadful watery grave of two youths, who went on trip along with friends, has been reported in the jurisdiction of Malpe police station on Dec 16, Monday morning.

The deceased youths of watery grave have been identified as Roopesh, aged 20, and Gautam, aged 21, both were the residents of Vivekanagara, Bangalore.It was said that a 15 member group of friends after visiting various parts on Dec 15, Sunday in a vehicle belonging to Jayanagara Tempo travels, they arrived to Udupi taluk’s Malpe sea beach on Dec 16, Monday morning.

According to the sources the incident took place, when they were swimming with friends, as a result of the fierce and forceful wave, that came all at once, they both got suffocated and died. As the condition of the other man was in critical condition, he was admitted in Udupi government hospital.

It is said that the remaining friends, who lost two of their friends, left to Bangalore with heavy hearts. As the news of death is being circulated, friends, residents of surrounding region, relatives gathered in front of the houses of the deceased.

Malpe police registered a case in this regard and conducting an investigation.
