Mangalore, Dec. 1: Dakshina Kannada district administration, D.K. Zilla panchayat, public instructing department, Canara group of institution and D.K. district physical instructor committee jointly organized 2 days state level high school boys and girls sports meet at Mangala Stadium was inaugurated by Minister of forest B. Ramnath Rai on Saturday Nov. 30.
After the inauguration luxurious Parade attracted the people. The 39 groups from whole state who are participating in the sports meet, Saint Jerosa School of Jeppu and Satya Sai Alike Band group take part in the pared. Te pared was even more attractive with the Chende vadana, hulivesha, yakshagana, the Kerala traditions …etc.
Nearly 2500 athletes and 500 officers were participated in the sports meet.
D.K. Zilla panchayat president Koragappa Naik presided over the function. MLA J.R. Lobo, Moiddin Bava, DC N. Praksh, the membe do ZP Saraswathi Kamath, assistant director of Bangalore commissioner office Ananth Naik, North zone educational officer C. Lokesh, D.K. district physical instructing officer K.B. Keshava were present.
Public instructing department Deputy Director Moses Jayashekar welcomed. Ajith Kumar compered the program.
