Mangalore, Nov 24: All the banks have been strictly asked to depute armed security guards and also install CCTV cameras in the ATM.
Following the ATM attack case that took place in Bangalore few days ago, Mangalore Commissioner Manish Karbikar addressing an emergency meet to discuss about the safety measures that should be taken at the ATM centres, said that the banks have to ensure safety of the ATM machines and most importantly the safety of the ATM users.
Installation of buffer glass, card access system at the entrance, adequate lighting in and around the ATM kiosk, sound alarm and message alert system have been advised during the meeting.
