Through the music one can get spirit. It is the duty of every artist to spread the classical music throughout the society said Vidwan R.K. Padmanabh.
He spoke at the Sangeethotsav- 2013 for the vishanthi celebration of Sangeetha parishat organized in association with Bharathiya vidyabhavan and Mangalore Unversity College at Ravindra Kalabhavan of University College.
The president of Sharavu Shri Mahaganapathy administration Raghavendra Shastri inaugurated the programme. He said that now it is must to introduce the Indian culture, art, music to the youths to protect it from the western culture.
Vidhwan R.K. Padmanabha was honoured with Sangeetha Vichakshana Award in the occasion.
Isaimani Jnan Murugan and his group’s music programme was held before the formal function.
Parishat president Vasudeva presided over the function. Corporation bank deputy director Majundar, Diya systems director Dr. V. Ravichandran, art reviewer A. Eshwarayya, Ravishankar and J.R. Rai of Bharathiya Vidyabhavan were present.
