Anti-Superstitious Bill will be Implemented only after the discussion: Siddaramaiah

Mangalore, Nov.9: The decision on Karnataka Prevention of Superstitious Practices Bill, 2013 will be taken only after reviewing the draft copy said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Addressing the media persons at Mangalore International Airport on Friday, November 8  Siddaramaiah said future action pertaining to the new superstitious bill will be decided only after the review of the draft copy and holding discussion in assembly. Government will review the bill. We have not formed any committee with regards to the bill. Two separate drafts have been submitted by and Karnataka Law University. So far these two drafts have not been scrutinized he added.

Speaking about the Sowjanya rape and murder case, Siddaramaiah said, “As per request from the victim’s parents, the case has been handed over to the CBI. Government has no authority to order investigations under the supervision of the Supreme Court.”

“I have not received any letter from Beltangady MLA Vasanth Bangera regarding land grab in Dharmasthala” He added.
