Mangalore, Sept 27: The circle inspector of Karkala, Valentine D’Souza, has been transferred to Mangalore and will take charge as the city crime branch (CCB) inspector.
D’Souza will be replacing Venkatesh Prasanna. He will take charge on Monday.
He has earlier served as sub-inspector in Udupi, Kota, Honnavar, Bhatkal and as circle inspector in Bantwal, Terikere, Kundapur, Panambur and Karkala. He has also served as a DCIB inspector in Chikmagalur.
Valentine D’Souza was born in Sagar, Shimoga district. He was received police training from Mysore academy. He won Mr. India award in junior body builder and has also taken part in state and national-level competitions. He has been recognized with Shri Shivappa Nayak award, Shri Pulkeshi award and other honours.
