Mangalore, Sep.10 : Besant First Grade Evening College will be organising national seminar on “ Effective Partnership Between Commercial Banks And Micro Finance Institutions” in association with Corporation Bank Ltd , sponsored by UGC. The seminar will take place on 12 September,2013 in auditorium, Besant College , Kodailbail , Mangalore, said the principal Dr.Carmelita Goveas in the press meet.
The College is organising will be conducting this seminar to make the people aware of the role of commercial banks in india and micro finance institution. The seminar will in 3 sessions. 1.Potential of Commercial Banks as large scale providers of finance. 2.sustainability and pitfalls of existing micro Finance Institutions. 3. Panel discussion on Building Effective Partnershp Between Banks and Micro finance organisations.
The inauguration will be at 9.30am to 11am. The inauguration will be done by Mr.Karthikeyan V.S ,General Manager, Corporation Bank Ltd. The key not address will be given by Dr.A. Krishna Reddy, Sa-dhan( Apex body of micro finance sector Hyderabad. The guest of honour is Mr.Nagar Narayan Shenoy , Correspondent, Besant College. The president Mr.kudupi Jagadish Shenoy ,President WNES ,will be present.
There will valedictory function from 4.30pm to 5.00pm. The Chief guest is Mr. S.G Hegde, Joint Director ,District Industries Centre and the President Mr.Manel Annapaa Nayak, Vice President,WNES.
Prof. Ishwar Poojary ,the convenor of Seminar & HOD ,Commerce, Prof. Ganapathi Bhat ,HOD of dept of English and Mr. Veerappa Gowda the librarian were also present at the press meet.
