Duplicate statue selling: one arrested
Mangalore, August 21: Mangalore CCB police have arrested the cheaters, who were selling the duplicate statues for lakhs of rupees by saying as older one, which were bought from metal houses.
The accused are identified as Siddiq, Ujire and Abdul Razak, resident of Nandavara , B.C road. Siddiq is under the custody of CCB police and one more accused is absconding.
The accused were met the Meera moideen and said that they are having old statues and if they are interested they can buy. Hence, after the discussion they sold six statues for 14 lakh. Later Meera Moideen came to know that those statues were bought from metal houses, which costs three lakh. Meera had complained with Mangalore south station and police arrested a thief regarding the case and also seized the other metals, which were kept in their house.
Thieves were fled away by throwing the ornaments
Moodabidre: After theft, the thieves were fled away by throwing the ornaments on August 18 and it says that theft ornaments were belonged to Laxmi Jewellers.
On August 18, in the mid night Panambur ACP Ravikumr and others were taking rounds and in that time two unidentified fellows were moving the near Moodabidre Hanuman Temple. When police stopped them for investigation, they fled away from the spot. Later, the police came to know as the thieves thrown the bag to bush and there were 675 gram gold in the bag, which was belonged to Laxmi Jewellers.
Sources says that they were made the hole through the gas cutter and theft the ornaments. But within few minutes police were succeeded to find the property.
Robbery by saying as classmate: three arrested
Mangalore, August 21: The Pandeshwara police arrested three people in the robbery case, who were robbed a person by saying as his classmates.
The police have arrested the three persons and one of them is absconding.
The victim is identified as Velarian Charles, who was working in abroad. When the victim was moving back to house after the prayer in the church, a person be friended with him by saying that he was his classmate.
The accused moved very close with him and demanded to come to Hoige Bazar railway station. When Charles went to the spot, accused joined with other three and assaulted him. After that they took golden chain, which costs 65 thousand, Rs 25 thousand cash and Samsung mobile and fled from the spot.
Last Monday the accused were moving near K.M.C hospital and when police investigated, they trid to run from the spot, but fortunately they were caught.
