Moodbidri: Rs 100 crore earmarked for the progress of minorities; says minister

Moodbidri; August 12: After inaugurating the informative meet about the facilities available in the government departments for the minorities organized under the leadership of the Bharatiya catholic yuva sanchalan, Moodbidri zone in association with chapel, Moodbidri on August 11,Sunday at Samaja Mandira, Moodbidri,Abhayachandra Jain, minister for youth welfare and sports affairs and fisheries said in his address that government has announced some exclusive projects for the benefit of  minorities.

He also said that by availing the government facilities one must show the sign of success in the field of education and profession without misusing the facilities.

Austin Petre Perist,Pries,Moodbidri corpus Christ church said in his address that all the organizations,sanghas,Sanghatas must work for the welfare of the economically backward people in the society and ensure that all the government facilities should reach to weaker section of the society.

P K Thomas, town panchayat member said in his speech that government has announced some pro-minorities projects but due to lack of information about the same it won’t reach to the real benefactors. Besides Christian people are even hesitant to receive that facilties.Therefore for such people sanghas, Sanghatanas, organizations, Kootas must give proper information about the same and see that those facilities are made available to the people.

N D Somappa,Organizer,DK Karnataka minority welfare association,Parameshwara Poojary,Retired organizer, Backward class welfare Department, Stephen Qudros,assistant professor,Honnavar Primary level college have  comprehensively spoken on the occasion.
