Shri Rama Sene stages protest urging Speaker’s resignation

Mangalore, August 5: Opposing the insulting comment of speaker Kagodu Thimmappa about freedom fighter Raani Abbakka, Shri Rama Sene staged a protest in front of Deputy Commissioner Office urging the resign of speaker, here on Monday.

Addressing the gathering Shri Rama Sene state vice president Kumar Malemar said that Ranni Abbakka was the first women who fought for the freedom and insulting words about her is condemnable. Speaker’s word caused for the pain in the people, hence he must resign his post and ask the apology with public, he urged.

‘Our constituency MLA’s were present in the Kagod’s speech, but nobody opposed. Though U. T Khader is honorary president of Abbakka Utsava samiti, he didn’t speak against it, which shows his concern towards us, he said.

On the occasion they burned the model of speaker and showed their anger.
