Mangalore, August 2: Bahrain Kannadigas will celebrate the ‘Bahrain Kannadostava’ on August 4 at Bangalore Kengal Hanumanthaiah Kalabhavana, said Bahrain resident Ramesh Manjeshwar.
Addressing the presspersons, he said that the programme will be presented by senior drama artist Yashwanth Sardeshpande, Bangalore and thenku- badagu Yakshagana, classic, semi classic, Karnataka Darshana, film dance and small documentary on Bahrain will be screened. More than 50 SSLC, PUC students including artists will perform the show. The programme preparation is already in full swing. Film actors Duniya Viji, Komal will be part of the programme.
Ramachandran, resident of Bahrain from two decade, involved himself in the cultural activities.
Further he quoted that ‘ so far we were taking the talents to Bahrain, but this time our talented Kannadigas from Bahrain will perform here at Kannada Nadu’.
Kannada Prabha and Suvarna News chief editor Vishweshwara Bhat will be presiding over the function and famous food specialist Dr. P. Sadananda Mayya will be present in the programme.
On the occasion chief guests will release the book ‘Asti Kathe’, authored by Kiran Upadyay.
