Mangaluru, November 14: The first International Children’s festival was launched on the occasion of Children’s Day at Mangaluru on Friday, November 14th. The children’s film will be displayed in New Chitra theater at Mangaluru and Aruna in Puttur. Under the joint collaboration of Children’s film Academy, D.K administration and public education ministry, the festival is organised.
The additional DC Sadashiva Prabhu launched the program. Speaking on the occasion he said, the movies has its significance impact in modulating the society. He also added, children along with watching the movie must imbibe and inculcate the moral values from the movie, there by developing as responsible citizens of our country.
Several children’s film will be displayed from over the globe during the fest. The movie will be displayed penny free from 8.3o am to 10.30 am till November 20th.
On the first day, as much as 450 children at New Chitra theater in Mangaluru and 500 children at Aruna in Puttur witnessed the movie.
The member secretary of the Children film fest and Information officer B A Khader Shah welcomed and Francis Louis from Information department compeered the program.
