Bantwal, Mangalore: The public’s had to face inconvenience once again at BC Road, due to the traffic problem On Monday, October 27th. The traffic jam occurred due to the crowd and the increased vehicle flow. The citizens who had been on to their natives for Diwali festival last week were rushing ahead to resume their duty.
The traffic jam occurred from morning to afternoon and caused inconvenience to the travellers. Vehicles began moving on the highway as well as the flyover and since a few vehicles were in a bid to overtake, the traffic jam worsened.
The Bantwal cops along with the home guards struggled to clear the path. In addition the ASP Rahul Kumar himself stood in the street to control traffic.
Every Monday till noon traffic jams, is a common scene at BC Road. Even though a police is stationed at the circle in order to ensure a smooth traffic flow, due to the accumulation of the vehicles and condition of the circle, traffic jam has become a curse to BC Road.
The unscientific flyover also adds up to the traffic problem here. Even though, the government has already sanctioned traffic police station BC Road, it has been heard that the demands are placed before the Minister to get it implemented.
