DC A.B Ibrahim orders MUDA officials to clear impending Market development files.

Mangalore, September 19: Deputy Commissioner A.B Ibrahim chairing a meeting has ordered the Mangalore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) officials to clear impending files pertained to the market development in Urwa and Urwa Store area as well.

He said that there is a belief that MUDA officials are not clearing the files on purpose. Any proposal or applications seeking permission ought not to be delayed. The MUDA meeting should be convened on every third Saturday. The DC directed the MUDA to prepare a report on the development of lakes in Mangalore city.

Mohammed Nazeer, the MUDA Commissioner said that market and commercial complex proposed on 55.40 cents land at Urwa would cost Rs 11.12 crore. The PWD has been assigned the task of preparing a detailed project report. The detailed project report will be submitted shortly for approval to the Urban Development department.

MLA Mohiuddin Bava said, the work on construction of markets at Katipalla Kaikamba, Krishnapura and Kavoor should be initiated sooner. MLA J R Lobo said that for the markets at Urwa Store and Urwa, he will put efforts to get administrative approval.
