Mangalore, September 19: The 108 ambulance with a view of enhancing service to the customers, is experimenting on sophisticated application which will be kick-started in about a month’s duration.
State head Mr Jagadish Patil of GVK EMRI, which runs the 108 ambulance in the state, has revealed that, “The mobile application is already on trial and will be available for the layman within a month’s duration. This application, when accessed by a person the call centre executives will track the location and confirm it with the caller so that time and pressure is reduced for both the caller and call centre executive”.
The ambulance operators will be immediately updated with this information. “The mobile application can be downloaded penny free on android phones and will be gradually provided to others” he added.
