Earning easily by defrauding the public by the colourful words; crew of deceivers is operating in the district from quite some time. The police department and the district administration had warned the public; even then the number of victims to the deceivers has not at all gone down.
Donation menace:
A team collecting donations stating false reasons such as – temple construction, different poojas, cricket match, to provide books and uniforms to the school children, those who are suffering from illness in the name of various organisations collecting donations for various religious and cultural programmes etc… Due to the defaulters, the public doubt on the people who collect donations stating a genuine reason.
With an eve of asking water-lonely women in the house are robbed, mugging gold stating the reason of coating gold, coming on the eve of selling goods or clarifying address barging into the house and robbing, flicking money by assuring that money has fallen down, convincing the women that I am a cop under Patroll; kindly put your jewellery inside your bags since some tension is prevailing ahead and finally flicking their Jewellery , stating that your shirt has been soiled -drawing their attention, thefting the bags from the vehicles etc..Team which loots in this way.
Group attracting people by the different bogus schemes and deceive, group which offers different gifts through mobile and make money, like this lots of groups are operating over the entire Dakshina Kannada area to which use different techniques to loot the public.
Fresh ongoing deceiving technique..
Stating a false reason that at Shree Manjunatha temple Kadri; Sathyanarayana pooja is organised and pamphlets are printed- to collect donations that eve.
The Kadri temple authorities have received a message that a defaulters group is collecting funds stated as above and it has requested the public’s to be aware of the muggers. On receiving the information that donations are collected on behalf of the temple, the Temple’s authorities have clearly specified that none is appointed on behalf of the temple to collect the money. Hence forth the temple has requested that, if the public’s find any miscreants collecting funds on behalf of the temple, they are requested to complain at the nearest police station.
Kadri Sri Manjunatha Temple is subject to the jurisdiction of the Department of Religious Endowments and class ‘A’ notified temple. The services held here are passed by the administrative board and the approved by the government. Recently some are collecting donations from the public, stating that, Special Satyanarayana pooja will be performed at Kadri temple and the public have informed this to the Temple’s office.
Hence, the Temple has stated that people are not appointed to collect any funds for Sathyanarayana Pooja. Hence the temple authorities have requested the public through the media that, if any such persons are found collecting funds; immediately inform the nearest police station.
