Hyderabad: Charminar, which is synonymous with Hyderabad, has become the most searched historical site in the city on Google.
Google search trends analysis for the past six months reveals that Charminar is the most searched historical site in the city, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
Charminar has been searched the most in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, followed by Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
The search also indicated a rising interest on the builders of Charminar as it remained one of the top most queries on Google.
Hyderabad emerged as a hot favourite among Indian netizens during 2013 and continues to captivate tourists, offering a fascinating panorama of the past.
Golconda Fort, another famous landmark, is the second most searched historical site in Hyderabad, and is searched the most in Andhra Pradesh followed by Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
Golconda is followed by Salar Jung Museum, known for the largest antique collection.
