Vimantal police have arrested the 37-year-old man who sexually assaulted his 16-year-old daughter repeatedly, at their native village in Uttar Pradesh and Lohgaon residence in Pune. He continued tormenting the teenager for years, till her grandparents decided to take action against their own son
A man raped his teenaged daughter — who is now 16 — repeatedly for two years, till her grandparents finally took a stand and encouraged her to report the matter to the police.
Vimantal police have now arrested the monstrous father, who had threatened his daughter of dire consequences if she complained about him to the authorities.
The accused, who has been identified as Shabuddin Bandu Ansari (37), hails from Uttar Pradesh. Ansari was charged under sections 376, 506(1) of the Indian Penal Code and section 3(d) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act on Monday.

Police Sub-Inspector H B Markad from Vimantal police station, said, “The victim is the daughter of Ansari and his first wife. Ansari, who works as an auto driver, has been sexually assaulting the girl for the past two years, at his native village in UP and in Lohegaon in Pune. He has reportedly raped his daughter at least 20 times.”
“Ansari had threatened his daughter of dire consequences if she spoke about this incident to any one. The family members were aware of the assault but chose to keep quiet about it.
They tried to marry the girl off, but could not because of her age. Finally, her grandparents decided to approach the police and complain against their son. The girl herself has lodged the complaint in this regard,” PSI Markad said.
