KOLKATA, December 3:  In the eye of the storm following allegations of sexual harassment by a woman law intern, the retired Supreme Court judge Asok Kumar Ganguly said here on Tuesday that he had not taken a decision on whether he should resign as chairperson of the West Bengal Human Rights Commission (WBHRC).

“I have not taken a decision on this issue,” he told The Hindu.

Even though he has denied the allegations after his name was mentioned in connection with allegations of sexual harassment on November 29, demands that he resign have been raised in certain quarters.

“I am denying the allegations…I am shocked and shattered at it,” he said the day the allegations were made publicly linking his name with the alleged incident.

Justice Ganguly has been serving as chairperson of the State’s human rights panel since April 2012.
