Students from Abroad excel in CBSE class 12 Exam

Students from abroad, including the Gulf region, have outperformed their India counterparts, recording a pass percentage of 95.18 in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) exams for Class 12, the results for which were declared Monday.

The pass percentage of students in India was 82.10.

“The exams were conducted for students from various countries, but the break up is not available for the Gulf region alone,” Rama Sharma, CBSE spokesperson, told IANS.

A total of 107 students from 58 centres appeared for the examinations in March from schools abroad, including the Gulf countries.

This year, a total of 9,44,721 students took the Class 12 board examinations in India and abroad. Girls performed better than boys abroad as well, with 97.60 percent of girls set to get the qualifying certificate as compared to 92.57 percent boys.
