Pune: Eminent cartoonist R.K. Laxman has been hospitalized and reportedly critical after complaint of complicated urinary tract infection on Saturday night.
He is being admitted in ICU of Dinanath Mangeshker hospital. Doctors said that he is stable after the initial dialysis treatment. The cartoonist has been bedridden for many months. He admitted to a hospital on 16 January for altered sensorium and berathlessness.
According to one of his relatives Kailas Bhingare, Mr Laxman had complained about kidney problems on Saturday, following he was admitted to the hospital. He underwent a dialysis treatment on Saturday and was stable on Sunday afternoon.
