After a dark, wet and chilly Tuesday in UAE, which saw rainfall, traffic chaos and flash floods in some areas the weather seems to settle today.

While most of the Emirates will be cloudy on Wednesday, there are chances of rain in the north-eastern region, according to a National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) report.

Skies remain cloudy in several parts of Ras Al Khaimah and Abu Dhabi, promising more showers.

Meanwhile, the capital city received medium to heavy rainfall Tuesday morning, accompanied by strong winds.

Umm Al Qaiwain and Fujairah also witnessed heavy to moderate rain accompanied by moderate winds yesterday. Water pools and submerged streets and roundabouts were a common sight in Kalba, Dibba and other villages on the East Coast.

Temperatures are expected to fall further on Wednesday. The minimum temperature in internal areas will dip to 11 degree centigrade with a maximum temperature of just 24 degree C. While residents of mountainous areas will experience a minimum of 5 degree centigrade.

Fog formation towards the west is forecast with relative humidity likely to increase during night and early morning hours.

NCMS has reiterated its previous cautions and warnings to mariners in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman due to the current high seas.

Police officials have warned fishermen against going out to sea and urged  motorists to drive carefully and respect traffic rules.
