The body of an Indian man was found hanging from a tree in an open area in Al Quoz Industrial Area on Thursday morning.
The Bur Dubai Police, who shifted the body to the Forensic Medicine Department, are investigating the cause of death. An official said the man was identified as R.F from India. There were no further details available.
He was found hanging from a tree in an open area outside the north gate of the Al Khail Gate community. A resident of the community said he saw the police and a few people standing near the tree when he went for jogging in the morning.
“I saw the legs of a man hanging down from the tree. I couldn’t see the face as it was covered by the branches,” the man told Khaleej Times. He said he doubted that the deceased could be a worker from any of the labour accommodations in the area.
Last month, another man was found dead inside the water tank of one of the building blocks in the gated community. Police said the Sri Lankan cook had committed suicide after he was sacked from his job.
Residents in the building said the building management had supplied them with bottled mineral water for drinking and cooking and arranged alternative facilities for sanitary purposes for almost a week. They also demolished and replaced all the water tanks in the building since they were interconnected and treated all the pipelines with chemicals as per the guidance from the authorities.
