Prominent businessmen were among the 12 winners of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce (JCCI) and Industry elections. The results were announced on Thursday.
Twelve seats in the Board of Directors were at stake and none of the eight women candidates managed to win a seat.
The six winners in the industrial category were Mazen Batterjee (448), Abdullah Binmahfouz (424), Fayez Al-Harbi (253), Ahmed Al-Marbaee (235), Abdul Aziz Al-Sorayai (220) and Saeed Binzagr (117).
In the commercial category, the victors were Nussar Al-Sulami (846), Mohammed Khoja (689), Khalaf Al-Kuthami (623), Fahd Al-Sulami (435), Hassan Sahafi (415) and Ziyad Al-Bassam (331).
Nussar Al-Sulami bagged the highest number of votes.
