A Saudi bridegroom spent his honeymoon in jail not with his bride following a fight with his in-laws just before the start of his wedding party.
The unnamed groom had entered the women’s room at the packed wedding hall in the Western Saudi town of Makkah to have photos taken with his bride but was kicked out by her sister.
A fight ensued and the groom assaulted his bride’s sister, prompting her brothers to rush for her help. He then fled, but later was arrested by the police.
Relatives said the groom spent his wedding night in jail.
