The Third annual general body meeting of Mogaveers Association Kuwait (MAK) was held on Januaoij’;pury 11th 2019 at Tamarind Restaurant, Abu Halifa, Kuwait.
As is customary and traditional, the proceedings of the MAK AGM commenced with a prayer song sung by Mr.Santhosh Kunder followed by lighting of lamp by the President Mr.Ramesh Kidiyoor, the Management Committee members Mr.Vikyath Boloor, Mrs. Poonam Mendon, Mr.Rajesh Mendon, Mr.Praveen Mendon, Mr.Prashanth Boloor, Mr.Kishore Kotian & senior MAK members Mr.Gopal Suvarna, Mr.Ashok Suvarna & Mr.Chennaraj.
The Program was beautifully hosted by Mr.Suresh Salian who welcomed all the MAK members to the event & thereby invited all the committee members to the dais.
A special prayer was held by all for the 7 missing fishermen from Malpe who are working for Boat ‘Suvarna Thribuja’ to come back home safely.
The General Secretary, Mrs. Poonam Mendon read the Annual Report of the activities of the association for the year 2018. While the Treasurer Mr.Rajesh Mendon read out the financial report for the year, both of which were approved by the members.
Some of the major events of 2018 are as follows:
MAK organized its second indoor, National level Volleyball & Throw Ball Tournament under the title of “MAK Champion Trophy 2018 which was held on 25th Feb. at Qadisiya Sports Club, Hawally.
MAK also participated in Diwali Mela Conducted by IIK on 2nd November 2018, Team MAK showcased rich cultural heritage of Tulunadu by performing 3 dance forms Yakshagana, Deva Darshana Bali & Boota Kola which was highly appreciated by the audience.

As part of the welfare project Scholarships were given to first three meritorious students of Mogaveera Management Schools in India Mahalaksmi English Medium School, Uchila & Sagar Vidya Mandir, Beach Road, Padubidri.
The outgoing members of the management committee Mr.Ramesh Kidiyoor, Mr. Vikyath Boloor, Mr. Praveen Mendon & Mr. Prashanth Boloor were honoured with mementos for their dedicated service to the association. A special momemto was given to Mr.Sachidananda Suvarna who has designed the MAK logo during inception as well been a designer for any requirments needed for MAK. Mr. Ramesh Kidiyoor the outgoing president in his speech thanked all the members for their support & urged all the members to be united & take the Association forward to the next level.
Games were conducted by Mr. Suresh Salian & Mr. Praveen Mendon for all the MAK members. Melodious songs were sung by renowned artist of MAK Mr. Suresh Salian, Mr. Praveen Mendon Mr. Dinesh Suvarna & Mr. Kishore Kotian.
MAK organised ‘Mr & Mrs Mogaveera Kuwait’ in which Mr. Nishant Salian bagged the tittle Mr. Mogaveera, Mrs. Mogaveera was bagged by Mrs. Kusuma Girish, Stylish Icon tittle was given to Mr. Girish Salian and special prize was given to Master Jai for his confidence.
A comedy skit ‘Padmashree Aithapanna’ was presented which was directed & scripted By Cultural Secretary Mr. Praveen Mendon. Artists of MAK members Mr. Kishore Kotian, Mr. Arun Mendon, Mr. Paresh Karkera & Mr. Dinesh Suvarna. Background Music was given by Mr. Rakesh Suvarna. Tulunadu dance form Bootakola was beautifully performed by Mr. Kiran Kumar & Mr. Prashanth Kunder Honnala.
The returning officer, Mr. Sachidananda Suvarna announced the new managing committee for the year 2019.
The group unanimously elected Mr. Rajesh Mendon as the president. He has been an active member of MAK & also the Treasurer for 2018.

The managment committee members introduced themselves, thanked and assured all the members for rendering their best service during their tenure.
President, Mr. Rajesh Mendon in his speech thanked all the members for electing him as president. He also assured the members that management committee would support and provide help to any member who is in need of help. He urged everyone to Support and come forward for the upcoming event “MAK Champion Trophy 2019” a National Level Volley Ball & Throwball tournament which will be held on 25th Feb 2019 @ American International School, Maidan Hawally, Kuwait.

Being the Founder Member & President Mr. Ramesh Kidiyoor was Chosen as a Convenor by all since he has been a very good mentor with his best leadership quality.
Below Welfare Projects would continue as informed by the President
-Death Grant of IRS. 1, 00,000/- in case of death of any active member, financial help will be provided to next of kin of the deceased.
-Financial help (Health Grant) of IRS. 25,000/- will be given to the members in case of serious health issues or permanent disability or severe injury due to accident.
– Merit Cum Means Scholarship- Children of MAK members residing in Kuwait or India would be awarded Scholarship of IRS. 10,000/- for 10th Standard Students & IRS. 20,000 for 12th Standard Students.

President, Mr. Rajesh Mendon also announced that scholarship of IRS. 7,000/- , IRS. 5,000/- & IRS. 3,000/- would be awarded to the First three Meritorious students respectively for the year of 2017-2018, for the following schools of the Mogaveera Community.

Followed by, A Sumptuous Lunch was served by Tamarind Restaurant.
Prizes were given away to the winners of games. Mr. Dinakar Salian & Mrs. Kusuma Girish for Musical Chair. Winners of Quiz Mr. Vittal Sriyan & Mr. Kishore Kotian. Mrs. Geetha Suvarna & her team of 8 members won the Plate game which was the Ice Breaking Game.
Instant prizes were given away to Mrs Geetha Suvarna, Mrs Sashikala Kunder,Mr.Srinivas Puthran & Mr.Deepak Puthran.
“Lucky Mogaveera” was won by Mr. Santhosh Kunder.
Beautiful Moments of the day were captured by Mr. Kiran Kumar, Mr. Paresh Karkera & Mr. Nishant Salian.
In her vote of thanks Mrs.Poonam Mendon expressed her gratitude to each and every member who supported to make the event successful.
The event came to an end with a group photo of the association & The National Anthem.
It was totally a fun filled day for all the MAK members who enjoyed all the activities memories of which such always be cherished.
