Mumbai: Social media has been abuzz with rumours stating ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ director Anand L Rai had roped in Shah Rukh Khan for an upcoming film.
It was initially stated that Salman Khan had been signed for the film, and the actor would be playing a dwarf in the film. Reports stated that things didn’t work out and the director decided to go with Shah Rukh Khan as his second choice.
However the director has rubbished rumours. “I’m really amused by the rumours, since people seem to know more about my film than I do. I’m still working on the script and funnily enough, several have already started speculating about the cast and the title. I request people to stop jumping to conclusions and allow me to make an official announcement on the film, which we will make as soon as we finalize all the details,” read the statement.
While the director may have rubbished the rumours, he hasn’t denied doing a film with Shah Rukh. Could we expect an official announcement soon?
