Amitabh Bachchan, who is currently busy with Shamitabh promotions, has hurt his finger while trying to sweep pieces of broken glass.
The actor will be next seen in R Balki’s film Shamitabh along with Dhanush. It is for the first time that Amitabh will share the screen space with Dhanush. The film will also mark the Bollywood debut of Akshara Haasan. The film is slated o be released on February 6.
Amitabh plays the voice artist of mute actor Dhanush and together they form Shamitabh. The first trailer of the film is out and received applause from the audiences. Amitabh plays an alcoholic artist while Dhanush is scintillating as the mute actor, who comes to the big city with dreams in his eyes. When the two meet, begins the story of Shamitabh and their hidden rivalry.
This is the third time that Amitabh has worked with R Balki. The two earlier worked in films like Cheeni Kum and Paa. Amitabh always finds R Balki’s scripts interesting. “”Whenever Balki comes to me with a script, my initial reaction is that he must be drunk – his scripts are so unique. When he narrated me the story of Shamitabh I was surprised. I had a similar feeling when he offered me Cheeni Kum and Paa. He was very clear about what he wanted from me, including my looks.”
The Yudh star also remembers his late father Harivansh Rai Bachchan as he mourns his 12th death anniversary.
“It is the death anniversary of my Father. When you think of those moments it sends shivers, apprehensions, prayer and remembrance to the one departed, especially when it happens to be your own father..,” he added.
