Chennai: Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has moved the Madras High Court seeking Rs 100 crore as damages from television network Zee.

The High Court has restrained Zee TV and Zee National TV from telecasting any defamatory statement involving the Indian captain in the alleged match-fixing scandal.

Dhoni has denied his involvement in any match-fixing or activities. He said his hard-earned reputation was being “sullied by unverified reports”.

Admitting the Rs 100-crore suit on Tuesday, a single-judge of the Madras High Court has stopped Zee group channels from telecasting any interview or discussion on Dhoni about the alleged scandal.
