Dubai:  Pakistan captain Mohammad Hafeez won the toss and chose to bowl for the second time in the series, on the same pitch on which his side chased down 146 on Wednesday. Dew on the ball hindered Sri Lanka’s bowlers late in the first match, and had he won the toss, Dinesh Chandimal said he would have chosen to bowl first.

Legspinning allrounder Seekkuge Prasanna made his Twenty20 debut for Sri Lanka after an encouraging recent run in the List A competition at home. He last played an international in March 2012, and subsequently pushed Ajantha Mendis out of the XI.

Pakistan will depose Sri Lanka from atop the Twenty20 rankings if they win this match, and named an unchanged XI for the occasion.

Pakistan: 1 Ahmed Shehzad, 2 Sharjeel Khan, 3 Mohammad Hafeez (capt), 4 Sohaib Maqsood, 5 Umar Akmal (wk), 6 Shahid Afridi, 7 Umar Amin, 8 Bilawal Bhatti , 9 Sohail Tanvir, 10 Saeed Ajmal, 11 Usman Khan

Sri Lanka: 1 Tillakaratne Dilshan, 2 Kusal Perera, 3 Kumar Sangakkara (wk), 4 Dinesh Chandimal (capt), 5 Angelo Mathews, 6 Thisara Perera, 7 Lahiru Thirimanne/Ramith Rambukwella 8 Nuwan Kulasekara, 9 Sachithra Senanayake, 10 Lasith Malinga, 11 Seekkuge Prasanna
