Sunrisers win toss and bowl

needMohali;September 18; Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Shikhar Dhawan predictably decided to field after winning the toss against Faisalabad Wolves. He was inclined to the decision due to the history of the Mohali ground – 18 times in last 20 matches, the team chasing has won. Sunrisers are second in the table after their win over Kandurata Maroons yesterday, while it is a must-win game for Faisalabad.

The pitch is a different one to the one used in the previous game between Otago Volts and Kandurata Maroons, in which the former won convincingly chasing a decent total with two overs to spare. The one being used for this game is drier, but the natural character of the Mohali pitch will remain the same: the team batting second is likely to have a better chance as the ball skids on to the bat later in the innings.

Both teams stuck to the XI they selected in the first game.

Sunrisers Hyderabad: 1 Parthiv Patel (wk), 2 Shikhar Dhawan (c), 3 Jean-Paul Duminy, 4 Thisara Perera, 5 Biplab Samantray, 6 Darren Sammy, 7 Ashish Reddy, 8 Karan Sharma, 9 Amit Mishra, 10 Dale Steyn, 11 Ishant Sharma

Faisalabad Wolves: 1 Ammar Mahmood, 2 Ali Waqas, 3 Khurram Shehzad, 4 Asif Ali, 5 Misbah-ul-Haq (c), 6 Imran Khalid, 7 Mohammad Salman (wk), 8 Saeed Ajmal, 9 Ehsan Adil, 10 Asad Ali, 11 Samiullah Khan
