Mangalore, July 26: A woman was killed by a moving train near the Ullal Railway junction on July 26, Saturday, while she was trying to cross the track to catch a bus at Adka on her way to a hotel in Mangalore where she was working.
The woman identified as Lalitha (42), wife of Subhash, hails from Bailu near Someshwar. The woman has left behind her husband, a son and daughter. Railway police have registered a case.
Sources said that her body was tossed as far as 500 meters due to the impact.
