Udupi; Oct 14: As a special attraction of Vijayadashami on Oct 14, Monday at Ambalpadi Janardhana Mahakali temple, hundreds of parents brought their children to temple for the Darshana of goddess Sharadhe and for Aksharaabhyasa in front of Sharadhe.
The parents by holding the hands of their children, made them to write the name of ‘Sharadhe’ in white rice, which symbolize the beginning of their education.
Hundreds of children participated in ritualistically held “Aksharabhyasa”.
It was believed that if you start ‘Aksharaabhyasa’ in the proximity of goddess Devi, children will have bright future.
