Bus collides into auto rickshaw collision at Nandalike killing duo.

Karkala, October 18: Collision occurred between a bus and auto rickshaw at Mavinakatte, Nandalike on Friday, October 17th injuring several travellers. Jamila (65) and Neha (8) were killed.

The private bus motors was plying from Karkala to Mangalore, rammed into the auto rickshaw which was moving towards Karkala at Mavinakatte, Nandalike. After the collision, the bus along with the auto rickshaw rolled down into a deep gorge.

Jamila and Neha died on the spot. Aparna (18), Shainaz (35), Ruksana (25), bus-driver Faizal and Mirza among others sustained injuries. The injured persons have been admitted in a hospital in Karkala and the auto driver Mohammed Shariff, who is seriously injured, has been transferred to a private hospital in Udupi.

Along with the driver seven members were travelling in the rickshaw. The travellers belonged to the same family and were on their way to attend a wedding.

It is learnt that, the break failure of the bus was the reason behind this accident.

A case has been registered at Karkala police station.
