Bantwal,September 17: Late night on Monday, the forest officials have found the illegally felled timber of Acatia tree amidst the forest research centre at Urbana close to Siddakatte in Sangabettu villageand in relation to this, two of the accused were arrested.
They are identified as Dinesh and Anand. Others namely Gopal, Harish and Shekar have absconded.
Forest officials revealed that search operations are carried to trace the other accused.The operation was carried out under the guidance of the Forester of Bantwal region N.Subrahmanya and subregional forest officer M.b.Poovappa, Sitharam Shetty, forest guards Vinay Kumar,Bhaskar and driver Jayaprakash were involved in this operation.
