MANGALORE: Even though the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has not fielded any candidates for assembly elections in the state, the party has urged people to take part in electoral process.

Nandagopal S, Dakshina Kannada district joint convenor of AAP told reporters the party has launched a campaign, My vote is not for sale, to spread awareness about the importance of voting across the state.

Political parties are campaigning with no clear stand on solving issues like moral policing, communal hatred, drug mafia, mega power plant at Niddodi, which is likely to cause bad impact on environment and other issues of Dakshina Kannada district, he said. “We exhort voters to judiciously exercise their franchise to ensure that the state is in safe hands,” said Nandagopal.
