Mumbai : The 5th year Shree Varamahalakshmi Pooja was celebrated traditionally, at Jijamatha School, Kurar Village, Malad East by Shree Varalakshmi Pooja Samiti, Malad, on 10th August under the leadership of journalist B. Dinesh Kulal.
HH Sri Vishvesha Tirtha Swamiji, of Pejawar Mutt, who was present in the pooja blessed to all the devotees and spoke about the importance of Varamahalakshmi Pooja. Addressing the women’s present in large number he said it is as if we have seen lot of goddess Lakshmi here, let the blessings of Lakshmi be there in all the houses.
M.P. Gopal Shetty who also visited the Pooja ceremony, received felicitation from the pooja samiti and thanked to all those supported to him and also he assured his help and co. Operation to widen the souring roads.
Pooja Samiti President Adv. Jagannath Shetty, presided over the stage function. One of the Guests of Honor Mundappa S. Payyade, Chairman of Bunts Sangha, Dahisar – Jogeshwari local committee spoke about Varamahalakshmi Pooja and said this Varamalakshmi pooja should also be performed by women’s in their houses. By doing this goddess Lakshmi will bless all of us.

Mendon, Secretary, Santosh Poojary and others were present on the dais. The Office bearers and the committee members of the samiti welcomed all the guests by offering them flower bouquet and memento.
The samiti felicitated 15 students who scored highest marks and also Financial helps given to the students studying in Kannada school.
Welknown social workers from Malad, Babu N. Shetty, Shankar D. Poojary, ShrinivasanP. Saphalya, Sadananda Nayak and Ravi B. Moolya felicitated during this occasion.
Cultural programme, Nruthya Vaibhava was held by the children’s and well-known Singer Ganesh Yermal and his team performed Bhajana Sandhya and entertained all devotees.
In his presidential address President of Shree Varalakshmi Pooja Samiti Adv. Jagannath Shetty explained about the activities of the Samiti which is beneficial to the general public of Malad and nearby areas. He also acknowledged the support of all the members of the Pooja Samiti and the public and requested them to continue their co-operation in the future also.

Sanoor Santinja Janardhan Bhat of Shri Mahalingeshwara Temple, Mira Road performed the pooja which was participated about 500 traditionally dressed Sumangalis. Devotees present in large number. The pooja was concluded with annaprasadam.
