Bantwal, September 11: The unauthorized shops which had been stationed under the flyover at B.C Road were cleared by the Bantwal municipality on Wednesday. Over some duration, business was carried by some shops under the fly over which spoil the beauty of the city and hence the municipal authorities evacuated them by using the J.C.B’s along with the police protection there by clearing the area. Most of the traders voluntarily cleared shops and carried the goods from the stores by the vehicle.
In the general municipal meeting held at Bantwal, lots of discussion were carried out and decision was taken to clear these unauthorized shops which hampered the beauty of the city. However, none went forward to evacuate the shops. Last month, a special meeting was called to resolve the major problems within the municipality; where a long discussion about the store’s clearance operation was carried out and a bold step was taken for the eviction of shops by the municipality. This farce has aroused many suspicions among the public and it is not a surprise if the unauthorized shops emerge within a couple of day’s couple of days.
