Mangalore, August 22: The “Putani –Batani”fameV J Poorvi K Rao, who is the youngest of Costal Karnataka is going to host a programme called “Wonder Kid” in Kasthuri Vahini, a State channel. The programme is scheduled to be telecasted on every Sunday at 10.30 AM from 24th August, 2014.
The programme is about the showcase of talents of Kids (wonder kids) in different fields across the state and Poorvi K Rao is anchoring the programme. She is the first child Anchor from Mangalore to host a full-fledged programme in the state channel.
She is the daughter of Mr.Kumaraswamy, Senior Manager in Karnataka Bank Ltd & Mrs.Asha Kumaraswamy, Lecturer in St. Agnes TTI.
Poorvi is a 4th standard student of Mount Carmel English Medium School, Mary Hill. She is learning Bharatanatyam in “Bharatanjali” Kottara from Mr.Sridhara Holla & Vidhushi Srimathi Pratima S Holla, Western dance in Boys Zone Dance Academy from Mr. Kishore Kumar and Yoga from Yogaratna Gopalakrishna Delampady.
This multi talented girl has given more than 300 stage shows (dance, singing etc) across the country. She had also given an international show at Kuwait on the occasion of 29th Kannada Rajyotsava celebration on 8th November, 2013. It may also be recalled that she was the finalist of E TVs Kannada’s dance reality show D-Juniors and won many prizes & awards in dancing.
She humbly acknowledges all the support, guidance extended by her parents, teachers, gurus, well wishers and requests to continue the same in future too.
