Mangalore Aug 22: Sri Siddi Vinayaka Pratishtana and Sarvajanika Sri Ganeshotsava Samithi, Omkaranagara, Bunts Hostel, will be celebrating 11thyear’s Sarvajanika Ganeshotsava from August 29, Friday to August 31, Sunday said Managing Trustee Malady Ajith Kumar Rai Kodialguttu.
Speaking at the press meet held at AB Shetty Memorial Hall, Bunts Hostel on August 21, Thursday Rai said that the Ganeshotsava celebrations will be held with due co-operation of Mangalore Taluk Buntara Sangha and Buntara yane Nadavara Matra Sangha, Mangalore Taluk Committee.
He also said that, the idol of Lord Ganesha, sculpted by Sri Ramadas Achar will be brought in a procession from Radhakrishna Mandir from near Sri Sharavu Mahaganapathi Temple, to Omkarnagara after the prayer on August 28, Thursday at 5pm.
The installation ceremony of the idol will be held on August 29, Friday at 9.45 am. Various religious rituals will be held to mark the occasion.
On August 29, Friday the flag will be hoisted at 9.15am, inauguration of Ganeshotsava programmes at 9.30 am, distribution of paddy to the devotes at9.40 am, installation of idol at 9. 45am and Mahapuja and distribution of Mahaprasadam will be held at 12 pm.
On the same day, various dignitaries will participate in the religious prgramme taking place from 5 pm to 7 pm, various achievers will be felicitated on the occasion. At 7.30 pm Mahapuja and distribution of prasadam will be held. Later in the cultural event ‘Mudait’ Kerala folk dance performance has been organized, he added.
